Location Fashion

March 1, 2009

A bunch of folks in the Boston Fashion Industry meetup group got together for a shoot at Ron Ranere (http://www.positiveimage-boston.com/)’s place. Seems like since I’ve been doing photography for a certain way for so long, it was difficult to break through my habits and do things differently. I guess that’s where creativity comes in, where one tries to expand boundaries and look at things differently given a set of limitations.

As with all group photo activities, it’s nearly impossible to tailor the shoot for one’s own needs, so the end results do have some compromise in terms of lighting, makeup, model positioning, etc. Here are a few I wanted to share. Although it was a fashion shoot to highlight the designer (local designer Olivia Chow), seems like my bias towards portrait photography shows with my favorites being closer shots haha. Makeup was by Dianna Quagenti.
